Ilia Topuria had a night to forget at UFC Casa Branca , held last Sunday (14). The Spaniard faced Justin Gaethje in the main event, in a duel valid for the lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg), and, despite being the big favorite, 'El Matador' ended up being defeated by his rival and left with a badly bruised face.

In the very first round, Topuria was surprised by an uppercut after a takedown attempt, a blow that opened a cut on his forehead. In the following rounds, Gaethje adjusted his jab and began to connect with punches frequently, gradually disfiguring his opponent's face.
