Khamzat Chimaev is not happy with what has been happening to Ilia Topuria . At UFC Casa Branca , an event held last Sunday (14), in Washington (USA), the Georgian had a terrible night and lost not only the main fight to Justin Gaethje , but also the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg) and his undefeated record in MMA. Seeing several of 'El Matador's' rivals celebrating his defeat, the Chechen reacted seriously.
On his official 'X' account, Chimaev reprimanded those who take advantage of a fighter's career setback to trample on him. While the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) didn't mention names, his criticism was aimed at Arman Tsarukyan , Islam Makhachev , and Paddy Pimblett , who used Topuria's defeat to humiliate him. Furthermore, the Chechen fighter is perfectly aware of Ilia's pain, as in his last appearance in the octagon in May, he was surprised by Sean Strickland and lost his MMA undefeated record.
