Conor McGregor has once again expressed dissatisfaction with his relationship with the UFC. Even though he is scheduled to face Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 329 , set for July 11th in Las Vegas (USA), the Irishman revealed that he already has a second fight stipulated in his contract. The problem, according to him, is the excessive interval between fights: his return to the octagon is only scheduled for April 2027.
The revelation was made during an interview with Ariel Helwani's channel. Annoyed with the schedule established by the organization, the former featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) champion described the situation as absurd and stated that he would like to fight more frequently.
“I already have the two dates for my next fights. I have July 11th… and April 2027. That’s how the contract was structured. The second fight is almost a year later! That’s ridiculous,” declared the Irishman.

The statement raises questions about McGregor's relationship with the event. In recent years, the star has accumulated public clashes with the organization, in addition to facing long periods of inactivity due to injuries and problems outside of the sport. Now, even with his return confirmed for UFC 329 , he is showing dissatisfaction with the terms agreed upon for his continued participation in the company.
At 37 years old, McGregor is trying to end a drought that has lasted more than six years. His last victory was in January 2020, when he defeated Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds. Since then, he has suffered two consecutive defeats to Dustin Poirier and has not competed again after suffering a serious leg fracture in a fight held in July 2021.
