In the only all-green and yellow duel of ufc vegas 119, Luana Santos dominated Karol Rosa and won by unanimous decision on Saturday night (20), in a fight valid for the bantamweight category (up to 61,2 kg). With a strong judo base, Luana went for a takedown against the cage in the opening seconds of the fight, but was met with a solid defense from Karol, who remained calm and used the position to land short punches to her opponent's face. The two maintained this position for several minutes, until Rosa managed to break free with two minutes remaining in the round. Luana landed a powerful kick to the midsection, but was countered with a strong cross to the head. Moving laterally, the judoka began working short combinations of punches against Karol, finally achieving an effective takedown and spending the final seconds controlling her rival on the ground.

The second round started terribly for Rosa, who lost her balance while attempting a kick and ended up being forced to work from her back on the ground in the early moments of the round. Luana transitioned to half-guard and landed short punches to her opponent's face. They maintained this dynamic until the end of the round, with Karol managing to escape the disadvantageous position.

Aware of the need to settle the score, Karol tried to be more aggressive in the final stage, but ended up being controlled against the cage. Luana transitioned to her back, securing the takedown moments later and spent the final minutes threatening her compatriot with the possibility of a rear-naked choke.

In the first fight of the night, Shane Collins derrotou Otari Tanzilovi By unanimous decision in a duel valid for the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg). With the result, the American extended his undefeated record to eight wins as a professional fighter, frustrating the Georgian's debut, who suffered his second defeat on his record even with the presence of Merab Dvalishvili no corner.

The two fighters delivered an aggressive and dynamic fight from the start. While Collins sought to advance and strike his opponent with rapid combinations of punches, the Georgian chose the right moments to counter-attack, in addition to landing good knees to the midsection and occasional takedowns. As time went on, it was possible to observe Tanzilovi's pace slowing down as the American's pressure continued.

Collins maintained control of the center of the octagon and cornered his opponent against the cage in the second round, landing a good volume of strikes. This intensity was fundamental in securing the victory for the American, who knew how to absorb his opponent's attacks and clearly came out on top throughout the three rounds. In addition to his success on his feet, he also threatened the Georgian with guillotine chokes.

At the end of the 15 minutes of regulation time, all three judges scored the fight in favor of Collins, with a final score of 30-27.
