Alex Poatan believes he was wronged at UFC Casa Branca , but some see his reaction as mere dissatisfaction after the defeat. The former champion was knocked out by Ciryl Gane in the co-main event after a series of blows he deemed illegal. After the fight, the Pataxó fighter criticized referee Herb Dean, a stance that, according to Michael Bisping , sounds more like a justification for the loss.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Bisping analyzed the episode and indicated that he sees no decisive irregularity in the result. According to the former champion, Poatan was legitimately defeated and should accept the loss, emphasizing that there is no dishonor in losing, but that public complaints about an alleged foul end up sounding like dissatisfaction with the outcome of the fight.
