“I think if Conor can get back into that intense routine and be hungry, in that hellish zone, he has to see it like he’s in the tunnel, but the light is after the fight. After going through that journey he sees the light, but I’m not going to put myself in the light until the fight is over. If he puts himself in that zone, we’re going to have a hellish fight,” stated the MMA legend.
The Canadian's comment reflects one of the main questions surrounding the former champion's return. Away from the octagon since 2021, the Irish star remains one of the most popular figures in UFC history, but he arrives at the fight against Holloway surrounded by doubts about his ability to compete at a high level again after a long period away from the octagon.
On the other side, Max Holloway He's experiencing a different moment in his career. A former featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg) and owner of one of the most respected resumes in the organization, the fighter seeks to seize the opportunity to add another major victory to his record. Known for his impressive volume of strikes and above-average stamina, the Hawaiian represents one of the toughest tests for any returning fighter.

At 37 years old, McGregor is trying to end a drought that has lasted more than six years. His last victory was in January 2020, when he defeated... Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds. Since then, the Irishman has suffered two consecutive defeats to Dustin poirier and did not return to competition after suffering a serious leg fracture during a fight held in July 2021.
