Everything suggested that Michel Pereira could secure his second consecutive victory at UFC Baku , but only the first round was good. In the co-main event held this Saturday (27), in Azerbaijan, the Brazilian failed to manage the good advantage he had gained and was overtaken by Shara Magomedov . Therefore, after being defeated by unanimous decision, the athlete suffered his fourth defeat in the last five fights he has competed in.

Michel Pereira , 32, is a veteran MMA fighter and showman in action. The Brazilian began his career in the sport in 2011, fought for several organizations, and debuted in the UFC in 2019. In the sport, he has built a record of 32 wins, 15 losses, and two 'no contests' (no result). His main victories were over Michal Oleksiejczuk and Santiago Ponzinibbio.

Right in the first round, Michel landed a beautiful straight punch on Shara, who fell. Taking advantage of the moment, the Brazilian was also superior on the ground, landing punches and elbows on his opponent. However, the Russian came back strong for the second round and, through sheer volume of strikes and pressure, frustrated the "Flying Paraense".

With the fight tied, Shara gained confidence and followed the same script in the third round. The Russian used kicks extensively to disrupt Michel's game. It's true that the Brazilian didn't give up, but he slowed down and posed little threat to his opponent.
