Rafael Fiziev took advantage of fighting at home and recovered in the best possible way in the octagon. In the main fight of UFC Baku , an event held this Saturday (27), the athlete impressed against Manuel Torres and knocked him out in a spectacular way in the second round. Because of the show he offered to the fans, 'Ataman' won one of the 'Performance of the Night' bonuses.

The organization announced the awards shortly after the show. Therefore, Fiziev took home a check for $100 (approximately R$ 518 at the current exchange rate). A striking specialist, the veteran lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) displayed power, precision, and technique to knock out the Mexican. First, the athlete stunned Torres with a spinning kick. Seeing his opponent in a precarious situation, 'Ataman' finished the job by landing a series of punches.

Most awarded

In addition to Fiziev, Abdul Rakhman Yakhyev, Asu Almabayev , and Daniil Donchenko were also awarded the 'Performance of the Night' bonus by the UFC. On the main card, Almabayev dominated Charles Johnson so effectively that he even applied a rare 'Suloev Stretch' in the third round.

In the preliminary portion of the event, Yakhyev confirmed his status as favorite, winning by knockout in an incredible eight seconds against Julius Walker. Meanwhile, Donchenko impressed in the octagon by brutally knocking out newcomer Theodor Berggren in the second round.

Other bonuses

Because they won by stoppage, Kaan Ofli, Matheus Camilo , Nursulton Ruziboev , and Tahir Abdullayev earned a bonus of $25 (approximately R$130 at the current exchange rate). Ofli submitted Javier Reyes in the first round, Camilo knocked out Sadykhov in the first round, Ruziboev submitted Andrey Pulyaev in the first round, and Abdullayev knocked out Toddynho in the third round.
