Valter Walker has taken his rivalry with Josh Hokit personally. In great form, the Brazilian has established himself as one of the top contenders in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg), riding a four-fight winning streak with heel hook submissions. Confident, he projects that, should he face the American in the future, his opponent will be yet another victim in his career.
In an interview with 'Home of Fight', Walker expressed strong irritation with Josh Hokit 's statements and stated that he intends to inflict significant damage on his opponent inside the octagon, motivated mainly by comments he considers disrespectful to his country, and indicated that he would not show compassion even in the face of a request to surrender.

Before even thinking about a potential fight against Josh Hokit , Valter Walker has a more pressing commitment ahead. The heavyweight is scheduled to face Thomas Petersen at UFC Abu Dhabi , an event set for July 25th.
