Charles Oliveira's training partner defeats Khabib and Makhachev's friend in Russia; Brazilian becomes champion.

Elves Brener finally found his way back to victory outside the UFC. Last Sunday (5), in Russia, the friend and training partner of Charles do Bronx overcame Zubaira Tukhugov , a member of the Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov clan , at ACBJJ 21. After an intense grappling match, the Brazilian won by points.

For many, the result was surprising, but Elves, before migrating to MMA, excelled in jiu-jitsu. A specialist in the gentle art, the Brazilian justified his black belt, didn't let the Russian impose his game, defended effectively, and attempted to finish the fight via guillotine choke.

And it wasn't just the representative from the 'Chute Boxe Diego Lima' academy who represented Brazil well in Moscow. Jiu-jitsu legend Kaynan Duarte defeated Orazbek Alibi and became champion in the under 100 kg category.

Other highlights

Two other UFC fighters shone at the event. In the main event, the prodigy Raul Rosas Jr. , 21, submitted Khasan Magomedsharipov, a standout in the PFL and undefeated in MMA, via rear-naked choke. Brendan Allen also prevailed over Ramazan Kuramagomedov, another standout in the PFL and undefeated in MMA.
