Tracy Cortez is having bad luck in love and gambling. At UFC 329 , an event held this Saturday (11) in Las Vegas (USA), the ex-girlfriend of Alex Poatan had her first fight after the end of their brief relationship in January and suffered at the hands of the dangerous Wang Cong . At the end of the 15-minute fight, the American lost by unanimous decision and suffered her second consecutive defeat in the world's largest MMA organization.

To make matters worse, Tracy, currently in a career slump, risks dropping out of the top 10 in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg). She is currently ranked eighth in the category. On the other hand, the Chinese fighter, ranked tenth in the division, secured her fourth consecutive victory and, emboldened, challenged the champion Valentina Shevchenko.

Tracy started by startling Wang with a flurry of punches. Gradually, Wang, through sheer volume of strikes, evened the score. Aggressive, Tracy pressured Wang, who responded with low kicks and punches. Sharp in her striking, Wang knocked Tracy down with her low kicks. The fighters continued exchanging blows with everything they had, but Wang, taller and faster, maintained the advantage.

At a disadvantage, Tracy continued exchanging blows with Wang and came out worse. Calm in the octagon, Wang scored points by landing good straight punches and low kicks on Tracy. At the end of the round, Tracy managed to clinch with Wang and applied a guillotine choke, but couldn't secure the submission.

In the second round, Tracy came back aggressively, but while attempting a takedown, she fell in the octagon. Once the fight was back on her feet, Tracy received some hard blows from Wang, but continued to advance around the octagon. Emboldened by the momentum, Wang landed an illegal knee to Tracy's head while she was on the ground. For the infraction, the referee penalized Wang with a point.

Back in the fight, Tracy went after Wang, but she was hit more than she landed punches. While Tracy relied on punches, Wang responded with punches and kicks. At the end of the round, Wang landed some good straight punches and jabs on Tracy.

In the third and final round, Wang continued to punish Tracy on her feet. Struggling in the striking exchanges, Tracy attempted a takedown, but Wang defended. Then, Wang landed a low kick that sent Tracy limping again. Tenacious, Tracy didn't give up attacking Wang, but received jabs and straight punches in return.

Again, Tracy tried to take the fight to the ground, but couldn't. A striking specialist, Wang punished Tracy with his straight punches and body shots.

Paddy's partner shines.

In his third UFC fight, Luke Riley delivered his best performance. The friend and training partner of Paddy Pimblett completely dominated veteran Kai Kamaka III , dominating the striking exchanges. Sharp on his feet, the Englishman rocked his opponent multiple times and knocked him out in just over three minutes.

Thus, the athlete remains undefeated in MMA, with 14 wins, and has moved closer to entering the top 15 of the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg). Excited by the victory, Riley provoked his critics by asking them to be quiet.
