Apparently, Paulo Borrachinha is ready to start a new rivalry in the UFC. The Brazilian, who impressed by knocking out the feared Azamat Murzakanov in the third round in April in Miami (USA), has set his sights on Magomed Ankalaev . On a high in the company, the bad boy is not at all impressed with the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg), who enters the competition this Saturday (25), in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
For many MMA fans and professionals, Ankalaev is one of the best fighters in the division, as he is well-rounded, disciplined, technically skilled, and possesses impeccable physical conditioning. As proof of his quality, the Russian was one of the few to defeat Alex Poatan in the UFC. However, according to Borrachinha, the former champion's level isn't quite that high.

Not satisfied, the Brazilian also shared a fan-made image of the face-off involving him and Ankalaev. Borrachinha's action is surprising, as he himself revealed that he refused to fight the Russian at the last minute in place of the injured Khalil Rountree . However, through his provocation, the bad boy implied that the athlete is a viable and winnable opponent, given the ideal time to train and cut weight.
"The most overrated fighter of all time 👎🏾," the bad boy wrote on his official 'X' account.
Rubber Band Fighters in MMA
Paulo Borrachinha , 35, is one of the most popular Brazilian fighters in the UFC. He began his MMA career in 2012, debuted for the organization in 2017, and fought for the middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg) in 2020. Currently, the Minas Gerais native is ranked fourth in the light heavyweight division.
In sports, the bad boy built a record of 16 wins and four losses. His main victories were over Azamat Murzakanov , Johny Hendricks , Luke Rockhold , and Yoel Romero.
