In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS, Paulinho assessed that the financial tone adopted by Alex Poatan in the message was the main factor in the repercussion of the case. According to him, the comments were divided, with part of the public supporting the fighter and another part agreeing with his position.

“That was the key point of the issue (the financial tone of Poatan's message). If you look at the comments, it's about 50/50: 50% in his favor, 50% in my favor. Many people say that he is a millionaire and would be belittling a Brazilian worker. I think that was one of the main reasons for the repercussion. There were even people who wanted me to fight him,” said Paulinho.
The fan also revealed that he contacted Alex Poatan through social media and received a response from the former champion. In Paulinho's view, this attitude demonstrates that the fighter wanted to directly address the issue and possibly mitigate the situation after the negative repercussions.
"I even messaged him on Instagram and he replied. He made a point of replying, and I believe that's why. Deep down, I think he's a good person and wanted to show that too. Maybe he realized he exaggerated a bit in his comment," the fan said.
“He replied something like, ‘Now the sales are going up, huh?’ He said it in a sporting way. And we have to acknowledge that. The mere fact that he responded already says a lot,” he continued.

Finally, the salesman highlighted that the whole situation had a direct impact on his professional routine. Having worked for years at a Honda dealership, he stated that many people started contacting him after the incident, many of them just to meet him or talk about the case. Paulinho described the experience as positive and said he took advantage of the momentum generated by the media attention.
“I’ve worked at Honda for many years, and quite a few people bought motorcycles just to talk to me, you know? Some people even wanted to buy a motorcycle, but couldn’t because of regional limitations, since each branch only sells to its area. Some people went there just to chat. It was really cool,” concluded the motorcycle salesman.
