On a high in the UFC, Paulo Borrachinha is brimming with determination to secure his place at the top of the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg). In April, in Florida (USA), the Brazilian impressed by knocking out Azamat Murzakanov in the third round and, months later, saw Dana White point him out as a strong contender to fight for the interim belt. But those who thought the athlete was satisfied were mistaken, and even Alex Poatan wasn't spared.
While participating in 'The Ariel Helwani Show', Borrachinha expressed surprise at his compatriot's presence in the light heavyweight rankings, as well as the positions of the other fighters. The bad boy's attitude is understandable, given that Poatan decided to switch divisions to heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) and has already stated he will remain there after being brutally knocked out by Ciryl Gane in his debut in June.

It's worth highlighting that Borrachinha is ranked fourth in the UFC light heavyweight rankings by Meta and sixth in the rankings compiled by specialized journalists. Therefore, in pursuit of an interim title fight, the Brazilian made two posts on Instagram with the same video, stating, "I am number one" and "I am next . "
“What’s going on there? Blachowicz? My God. (laughs) He’s huge ( Jamahal Hill ). Murzakanov is in front of me? (laughs). So, that was the craziest thing. Who are these guys? Hunter and Dana,” said the fighter.
“Tell me the names again. Poatan isn’t there anymore and is coming off a loss. Ankalaev is coming off a loss, Prochazka is coming off a loss, Borrachinha is coming off a knockout win, Jamahal is coming off a loss and will move up. If Ulberg is going to be inactive for so long, who is the UFC going to put in to fight for the interim belt?” he concluded.
