The partnership between Alexander Volkanovski and Mauricio Ruffy continues to bear fruit inside the octagon. Since they began sharing part of their training , the duo has racked up three important victories in the organization. The Australian defended his featherweight title (up to 65,7 kg) by defeating Diego Lopes at UFC 325 in January, the same night the Brazilian knocked out Rafael Fiziev . Months later, the fighter from Alagoas shone again by defeating Michael Chandler at the historic event held at the White House in June.

Now, the two have once again attracted attention on social media. In a video released during a joint training session (VIDEO BELOW) , Ruffy is seen guiding Volkanovski in a striking session. Known for the precision of his strikes and sharp movement, the lightweight fighter (up to 70,3 kg) takes on the role of instructor, correcting technical details and suggesting combinations to the champion.

The images reinforce the synergy built between the athletes since the beginning of their partnership. Despite the Australian's experience and resume, the athlete demonstrates openness to learning new concepts and incorporating characteristics of his partner's style into his own game. In turn, the Brazilian also takes advantage of working alongside one of the biggest names in the division's history to improve strategic and tactical aspects of MMA.

The technical exchange has been seen as one of the factors that contributed to the good moment experienced by both. While Volkanovski regained his championship title and returned to being among the top pound-for-pound names in the organization, Ruffy consolidated his name among the most promising lightweight athletes after his victories against Rafael Fiziev and Michael Chandler.

With no fights currently scheduled, both fighters are using this period without commitments to improve their performance and maintain their training rhythm. Alexander Volkanovski and Mauricio Ruffy are expected to return to the octagon in the coming months in crucial bouts for their respective weight classes.
