Valter Walker once again showed why he is considered one of the biggest prospects in his category. In a fight valid for the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg), at UFC Abu Dhabi , held this Saturday (25), at the Etihad Arena, the Brazilian needed little time to impose his game and surprised Thomas Petersen with a calf lock in the first round, securing another impressive finish in the octagon.

At 28 years old, Walker has gained momentum in the heavyweight division. The Brazilian has five consecutive submission victories and is known for his sharp jiu-jitsu. Against Petersen, he achieved a great victory.

Right at the start of the fight, Valter closed the distance looking for the clinch. Petersen tried to impose his wrestling and initiated a takedown attempt, but the Brazilian showed composure in his defense. Taking advantage of the American's movement on the ground, Walker pulled his opponent into his comfort zone, quickly locked in a calf lock and forced the three taps, ending the fight.

At 28 years old, Walker continues to draw attention for his confidence in his ground game. Even using a technique considered risky and requiring extreme precision, the Brazilian has transformed leg locks into his main trademark.
