Valter Walker and Josh Hokit are getting closer and closer to becoming the biggest rivalry between heavyweights (up to 120,2 kg) in the UFC. With frequent exchanges of barbs in interviews and social media, the Brazilian and the American starred in another episode right after the Carioca's triumph at UFC Abu Dhabi , held last Saturday (25).

In the fight that closed the preliminary card, Valter Walker wasted no time and finished the duel against Thomas Petersen in the first round, achieving his fifth consecutive submission victory in the UFC, a result that did not impress Hokit.

In a post on 'X', shortly after Valter Walker 's victory , Josh Hokit mocked the Brazilian's performance, pointing out that the Carioca's grappling technique is shameful.

"Heavyweight Jiu-Jitsu is embarrassing," the loudmouth wrote alongside laughing emojis.

“True,” wrote Valter Walker in his reply, along with a photo where Josh Hokit attempts an arm-lock on Derrick Lewis and fails, unsure how to proceed with the submission.

Valter Walker submitted Thomas Petersen at UFC Abu Dhabi.

In the fight that closed the preliminary card of the event, Valter Walker adopted an aggressive stance from the start of the fight, seeking to exchange blows. However, after attempting a middle kick that was defended by Petersen, the Brazilian connected with the clinch and pulled the fight into half-guard.

With the duel on the ground, Valter began to threaten with his heel hooks even from the bottom, while his rival defended with his arm, hindering the Brazilian's attacks. Still, in a moment of carelessness, the Rio native, who trains in Russia, managed to break free from his opponent's arms and found his first real opportunity in Petersen's legs.

Thomas managed to defend himself with a spin, but Valter changed his position, locked his shin on the back of his opponent's knee, and applied a calf lock that ended the fight.
