Khamzat Chimaev assures that he is ready to return to the UFC octagon. Defeated by Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 328 , held in May, the Chechen lost his middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg) and also his undefeated record. Despite the setback, the fighter downplays any significant impact on his career and treats the moment with composure.

In an interview with the 'Championship Rounds' channel, Chimaev stated that he continues to train normally while awaiting a new opportunity. The athlete emphasized that nothing has changed in his routine and indicated that he is prepared to return to fighting as soon as he receives a new matchup.

“Nothing has changed. We are training, waiting for Strickland to leave home. When they give me a fight, I'll be back. (I'm ready) until today,” said Chimaev.
