"The UFC loves people who accept fights with little notice. They give you a raise of 30, 40, 50 thousand dollars. Fights with little notice give you the biggest salary increases," revealed Sean Strickland.
Known for his provocative style and willingness to face big challenges, Strickland built part of his reputation precisely on his courage to accept unexpected fights. Throughout his career, 'The Loudmouth' became known for taking risks and facing high-level opponents, a characteristic that helped solidify his name among the organization's top athletes.
Beyond the financial aspect, the middleweight champion highlighted that accepting last-minute fights can also increase the athletes' visibility. According to the American, fighters who make themselves available to the UFC in times of need end up being remembered when great opportunities arise within the division.
