The MMA community has seen another fighter face serious legal trouble . Anthony Smith , former UFC fighter and current commentator, was arrested last Monday (27) in Nebraska (USA), accused of committing three serious crimes. The information was released by 'TMZ Sports' and 'MMA Fighting'.
According to the report, Alex Poatan 's rival and former UFC light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) title challenger faces charges of domestic violence causing serious bodily harm, terrorist threats, and first-degree unlawful imprisonment. Interestingly, Smith was arrested one day after turning 38.

To date, 'Lionheart' remains detained in the Sarpy County jail. There are still no details about the incident that resulted in the American's arrest. In any case, if convicted, Smith could face more than 20 years behind bars.

Anthony Smith , 38, is a veteran of MMA and rose to prominence in the UFC. The American began his career in the sport in 2008 and competed for the company's light heavyweight title in 2019.
