Renato Moicano showed his high level in the gentle art last Friday (31). The Brasilia native shared the mat at the World Cup edition of BJJ Stars 19 with Patricky Pitbull for a grappling match and gave his compatriot no chance. Dominating the fight, he finished the duel with a katagatame and won the competition trophy, in allusion to the football tournament.

In a post-fight interview published on the BJJ Stars Instagram page, Moicano assessed his performance and highlighted that his top position was crucial to the outcome. The fighter acknowledged, however, that he still needs to improve in some aspects of grappling. Satisfied with his performance, he also expressed interest in participating more frequently in events of this type.
“It’s because I landed on top; if I had landed on the bottom, I would have been screwed… Usually I take them down, but with my hands (punches). I’ll have to improve; I’ve been training wrestling for a long time. I’m very happy; I want to participate more and put some more money in my pocket,” said Renato Moicano.

The fighter and YouTuber also outlined his upcoming challenges and indicated that he intends to face high-level opponents, targeting prominent names in the sport. In a relaxed and ironic tone, Moicano even provoked Micael Galvão and suggested that a possible future confrontation would spark public interest, even with his certain defeat.
“(For the next round) I want the best! Who's the best here? Mica Galvão? Come on, there's plenty! I was going to make a joke, but let's leave it at that, it's better not to… Whoever wants to see the bald guy get beaten up, come on, but you'll have to pay, it won't be free.”, concluded the UFC fighter ironically.
