Michael PQD is experiencing a moment of excitement in the UFC, but he keeps his feet on the ground when projecting his next leaps in the organization. The former soldier entered the action at UFC Belgrade , held last Saturday (1), in a debut surrounded by expectations that ended with a brutal knockout in just over a minute of fighting. Despite the immediate impact, the Brazilian recognizes that he still needs to evolve to reach the elite of the welterweight division (up to 77 kg).

In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS , the athlete highlighted the high level of the category and reinforced the need to gain more experience inside the Ultimate octagon.

“It’s a very difficult division, isn’t it? I’m not exactly thinking about getting into those heads right now, especially because, as I always say, I need to gain maturity in the octagon. I know I need time to get into the UFC octagon; it’s different. I felt that it’s totally different there, you know?” said Michael PQD.

The fighter believes it's not yet time to think about fights against top names, precisely because of the difference in experience compared to more seasoned opponents. Aware of the challenge, the PQD (Paratrooper) emphasized that the focus is on gradual improvement, prioritizing competitive maturity.

"So there's no way I can go there and think, 'Oh, Michael (PQD) is already ready to fight Michael Morales , because of the violence, right?' But the guy already has a lot of experience in the UFC, so I think I need to gain maturity," concluded the Paratrooper.

With his victory at UFC Belgrade , Michael PQD reached the milestone of ten wins in his career, nine of them by knockout, seven of them in the first round.
