Confirmed! Jean Silva faces Yair Rodriguez at UFC Noche

Jean Silva is back in the octagon. After defeating Arnold Allen at UFC 324 in January, the Brazilian from Fighting Nerds will face a new big challenge in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg). 'The Lord' has been confirmed to fight former interim champion Yair Rodriguez at Noche UFC , scheduled for September 12th.

The information about the match was initially released by ESPN last Saturday (1st) and later confirmed via Instagram, this Tuesday (4th). Motivated for the return, Jean sent a message to the fans and to his next opponent.

"It's hunting time," the Brazilian declared in a post on Instagram.

The fight against Yair Rodriguez represents an important opportunity for Jean Silva to remain among the top names in the division. The Fighting Nerds athlete has been building a prominent career in the UFC, with an aggressive style and great knockout power.

On the other side, the Mexican comes into the fight looking to bounce back after inconsistent performances in his last bouts. A former challenger for the undisputed featherweight title, Yair is known for his creative strikes and unpredictable style, being considered one of the most technically dangerous athletes in the division.

This will be Jean's second time participating in Noche, an event created by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to celebrate Mexican independence. In his first appearance, in September 2025, the Brazilian faced Diego Lopes in a fight marked by provocations and rivalry.
