In his heyday as a fighter, Dustin Poirier was a fan favorite, but that doesn't mean he can't reprimand them. As this was the organization's first show in Serbia, tickets sold out in record time, and the Belgrade Arena was packed for the very first fight. Delighted with the presence and enthusiasm of the Serbs in the stands from the start of the event, Poirier lamented the difference in American culture, expressing his discomfort with the larger number of casual fans present.

“People start showing up for the main card. Then, you go to Serbia to see the first preliminary fight, and the audience is already packed. These people are excited to have the event in their country and to see these fights live. Honestly, if you're buying a ticket to a UFC event, no matter where it is, why wouldn't you watch all the fights? ” he said.

“The first fight of the event is also world-class. I don’t understand . When I go to events as a spectator, I go to see the preliminary card too . I want to watch everything ,” he concluded.

The American is a former interim UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), fought for the undisputed title three times, and won the 'BMF' (Baddest Motherfucker) award twice. 'The Diamond' began his career in the sport in 2009, debuted in the UFC in 2011, and retired in 2025.

In this discipline, the athlete built a record of 30 wins, ten losses, and one 'no contest' (fight without a result).
