Werdum submits Fedor
After becoming the first man to submit Fedor Emelianenko, Brazilian Fabrício Werdum was nothing but joy behind the scenes at the HP Pavilion, in the city of San José, California. In an interview with the American website Sherdog, the Brazilian black belt explained the moment of the submission and was already thinking about the rematch against the Russian beast.
“That’s what we trained for. I tried to exchange a few punches with him, but I fell back to call him to the ground, that was what I wanted and I did exactly what I trained”, said Werdum, who made a point of thanking his team and everyone who supported him for this fight.
“The team is very important in a fight like this. If it weren't for my team, I wouldn't have been able to win, not just my team, but my entire family, my mother, who was watching me in Spain, my wife, my daughter, everyone who supported me", stated the black belt who He is already thinking about the rematch against the Russian, but this time at his opponent's home.
“I'm ready to fight anyone, but of course I would like to fight him again in six or seven months, but this time in Russia. I thought about it and I would like it to be like that”, said a confident Brazilian.
