Japanese Takanori Gomi has a new opponent at UFC Versus on 2, an event scheduled for August 1, in San Diego, California. Scheduled to face Joe Stevenson on the show, the former Pride champion had his opponent changed due to a knee injury. Therefore, to replace Stevenson, the Ultimate organization called up the tough Tyson Griffin, an athlete who is coming off a defeat to Evan dunham, in the judges' split decision at UFC-115.
