Islam Makhachev controlled Ian Garry and emerged victorious in the main event of UFC 330.

After a hard-fought 25 minutes filled with tension, Islam Makhachev defeated Ian Garry by unanimous decision, defending his welterweight title (up to 77,1 kg) for the first time. Throughout the five rounds, the Russian had excellent moments both standing and on the ground, even scoring a knockdown with a beautiful head kick in the second round.

The victory secured the Russian's 17th win in the world's biggest MMA event. In doing so, he surpasses Anderson Silva and becomes the athlete with the most consecutive wins in the company's history. With only one professional loss, which occurred at the end of 2015, Makhachev wrote another chapter in one of the most successful careers in history.
