Carlos Prates and Michael Morales were present at UFC 330 , held last Saturday (15), in Philadelphia (USA), where they watched the first defense of the welterweight belt (up to 77,1 kg) of Islam Makhachev , who defeated Ian Machado Garry by unanimous decision. The Brazilian took advantage of the moment to position himself as the possible next challenger of the division.
After the event, the São Paulo native revealed a plan involving two major fighters for the coming months. In a video posted on the Instagram account 'Crash MMA', Prates outlined a possible series of fights that could shake up the top of the division.

“In six months, Carlos and Makhachev, and after maybe four months, Carlos and Morales. Ten months is a good amount of time to cut weight, because you, Morales, lose a lot of weight. I know you,” said Carlos Prates.
Makhachev indicated after UFC 330 that 'The Nightmare' is the name that most deserves a title shot, while Morales also appears among the top contenders in the division.

A native of Taubaté (SP), the Brazilian has a professional record of 24 wins and seven losses, with an impressive 19 knockout victories and three by submission, numbers that reinforce his reputation as a striker. A member of the Fighting Nerds team, 'Pesadelo' is experiencing a great phase in the organization, riding a wave of victories over names like Jack Della Maddalena , Leon Edwards , and Geoff Neal , establishing himself as one of the main contenders for the division's belt.
