Islam Makhachev is getting closer and closer to the top of the list of the best of all time. With his victory at UFC 330 , last Saturday (15), in Philadelphia (USA), against Ian Machado Garry , the Russian took the opportunity to affirm that his country remains with a Top-1 representative pound for pound.
After the victory, Makhachev took the opportunity to make the statement in a video published by the official UFC Instagram profile. In addition to retaining the welterweight title (up to 77,1 kg), the fighter extended his winning streak in the organization and further solidified his position among the top names in the history of the world's largest MMA event.

"We Russians have proven that we are number 1 in the world. We will break all records," said Islam Makhachev.
The statement came after another historic milestone in the champion's career. Makhachev defeated Garry by unanimous decision, achieving his 17th consecutive victory in the UFC, surpassing the previous record of 16 straight wins held by Anderson Silva . The triumph also reinforced the champion's historic moment.
