Gabriel Marretinha has been showing that Brazil doesn't only have Carlos Prates standing out in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg). Ranked sixth in the category, the athlete also seeks to compete for the belt and has an extremely important commitment. On November 7th, in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian will face Sean Brady , number five in the division.

The organization itself has officially confirmed the fight. The bout between Marretinha and Brady is the main event of UFC Vegas 124. The Brazilian goes into this important duel brimming with confidence, as he is riding a five-fight winning streak. In his most recent victory, he dominated former champion Belal Muhammad in June.

In turn, the American easily defeated his compatriot Joaquin Buckley in May. Interestingly, Brady was the first to express interest in the fight and had his wish granted by the UFC.

Gabriel Marretinha , 28, is part of the new generation of welterweights and is among the elite of the division. The Brazilian began his MMA career in 2014 and debuted in the UFC in 2023. Currently, he is ranked sixth in the division.

In the sport, Marretinha built a record of 20 wins, 17 by stoppage (13 by submission and four by knockout), and one loss. His main victories were over Belal Muhammad , Khaos Williams , Randy Brown , and Stephen Thompson.
