The fight between Kaik Brito and Namo Fazil promised much and, in fact, delivered everything in the second episode of the tenth season of the Contender Series. In the main fight of the program, held this Tuesday (18), in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian ignored his underdog status, put on a real battle and came out on top. Despite the difficulty, the athlete delivered a brutal knockout to the Iraqi in the third round, impressed Dana White and won a contract with the UFC.

The fight between the welterweights (up to 77,1 kg) was action-packed throughout and featured a lot of trash-talking. The first round was closely contested, with Kaik dominating. Based on a high volume of strikes, the Brazilian troubled Fazil and even managed to rock him. Resilient, the Iraqi continued advancing around the octagon and also landed some good blows on his opponent, but was more often hit by him.
In the second round, Fazil returned even more aggressively and hunted down his opponent. A warrior, Kaik withstood powerful blows and also landed his own on the bad boy, but ended up at a disadvantage. In the third and final round, the Brazilian, determined to beat his opponent at all costs, showed a sense of urgency and finished the fight violently in 12 seconds.
Kaik started by throwing a flying knee, but then received a powerful straight right from Fazil and was cornered against the cage. Aggressive, the fighter missed his first punch, but landed a powerful right cross that exploded on the Iraqi's face. As could be expected, the bad boy fell unconscious instantly. The Brazilian's knockout was so violent that it has everything to compete for the best of the year award.

Brazilians defeated
But the night wasn't all joy for Brazil. While Kaik Brito shone, the same cannot be said of Douglas Blade and Mahamed Aly.
In the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg), Blade started well, but allowed Trent Miller to gain momentum and was submitted in the second round. Meanwhile, in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), Aly, a jiu-jitsu specialist, surprised everyone by finishing the fight standing up against Alik Lorenz and was easy prey.
The athlete received numerous violent punches from the American and was brutally knocked out in just over two minutes. This was Aly's second appearance on the Contender Series, and the outcome was the same in both.
