Lerryan Douglas arrives at UFC Sacramento looking for another decisive performance. After debuting with a knockout over Julian Erosa in March, the 'Pistoleiro' returns to the octagon next Saturday (22) to face Jamall Emmers and seek his second victory in the Ultimate.
In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS , the Brazilian revealed that he didn't need to make major changes to his preparation for the upcoming fight. According to Lerryan, the main difference lies in the strategy chosen to neutralize his opponent's game.

“There wasn’t any real adjustment. He’s a complete fighter, right? He fights standing up, he fights on the ground. I saw his last fight, he took his opponent down a lot. But nothing changed for me. I have the same training routine, the same workouts during the week. The only thing that changes is the strategy, how I’m going to annihilate him, get there and impose my game,” said Lerryan Douglas.
Known for his aggressive style and constant pursuit of a finish, the featherweight (up to 65,8 kg) intends to maintain his identity inside the octagon. The athlete stated that he will continue to pressure his opponent and seek another quick victory.
"Man, I'm always going for the finish or the knockout, and always moving forward. So I believe you're going to really like the fighting style I'll be using on Saturday," concluded the knockout artist.

With a knockout victory in his debut, Lerryan Douglas will face an important test against Jamall Emmers . Looking for new opportunities within the organization, the Brazilian stated that he will be prepared to face any opponent chosen by the UFC.
“It’s not a matter of being cautious, and it’s not a matter of me wanting to go into the rankings already. The point is that I’m going to do what the UFC wants me to do. If they want to put me against a ranked guy in the next fight, I’m going to do my best, I’m going to be ready, and I’m going to show what I always do,” he revealed.
'The Gunslinger' also made it clear that he doesn't intend to choose opponents or wait for the ideal moment to return to the octagon. For Lerryan, any athlete within the featherweight division can represent a new challenge.
“If they want to give me someone else, that’s fine. I’m here to fight anyone, anytime. Whatever the UFC wants, I’ll be ready to do it. You never know. For me, any athlete who makes weight in my category is a good fight,” Lerryan concluded.

Former LFA champion, he secured a UFC contract after knocking out Cam Teague in 36 seconds at the Contender Series in September. Lerryan Douglas has a record of 14 wins and five losses, with eight wins by knockout and two by submission.
