Marcio Ticotô Barbosa brought another victory to Brazil in the most famous octagon in the world by knocking out Ryan Kuse in the first round during the preliminary card of UFC Sacramento, on Saturday night (22). With the result, the Brazilian reached his sixth consecutive victory, frustrating the American's debut in the Ultimate and solidifying himself as one of the names to be feared in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg).

Aggressive as always, Barbosa dominated the center of the octagon from the start of the fight, feinting a lot and trying to corner the American. Kuse attempted takedowns at times, but was far from managing to take the Brazilian to the ground. Ticotô even threatened a guillotine choke in one of these unsuccessful takedown attempts, but was content to return to being the aggressor on his feet.
With immense power in his hands, he took Kuse to the ground with a left-handed cross, which, even though partially connected, was enough to leave the American disoriented on the ground. Ticotô didn't immediately follow up, but his opponent's confused state prompted Jason Herzog to intervene and end the fight at two minutes and 47 seconds.
In an in-octagon interview with Michael Bisping , he thanked God for his 16th knockout as a professional fighter and said he feels prepared to face anyone, aiming for the world title.
Rookie achieves spectacular victory.
Stanley Dorsainville delivered a surprise for fans in the third fight of the night, valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg). After accepting the duel with only a few days' notice, he defeated Gauge Young by unanimous decision and extended his undefeated record to six wins, becoming another name to watch in the most populous division in MMA.
More comfortable and with fluid movement, Young stunned his opponent on his feet and quickly landed a beautiful hip throw, subsequently hurting Dorsainvil once again on the ground. The newcomer managed to resist initially and even landed some punches, but spent most of the first round absorbing dangerous blows to the chin.
Dorsainvil showed great heart in the following round, winning and evening the fight through violent exchanges of blows at close range. Despite Young's efforts to slow his opponent's momentum and take the fight to the ground in the third round, he was unable to contain the rookie's momentum, who prevailed and won by unanimous decision, with all judges scoring 29-28 in his favor.
Jackson McVey gets revenge on his old rival in less than five minutes.

In the second fight of UFC Sacramento, Jackson McVey overcame initial difficulties and defeated Wesley Schultz by technical knockout in the first round, in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). The fight had a special flavor for the winner, who had been defeated by Wesley back in his amateur days. Now, he has a two-fight winning streak in the UFC.
A grappling specialist, Schultz posed a threat by attempting a guillotine choke during the opening seconds of the fight, but McVey managed to escape and get back to his feet. From that moment on, the duel changed completely. Focused on striking and mostly landing straight punches, Jackson surprised everyone by landing a powerful knee strike to his opponent's midsection, taking Schultz to the ground and forcing the referee to stop the fight with less than a minute remaining in the first round.

In the first fight of the night, Shanelle Dyer had no trouble defeating Elise Reed by knockout in the third round, in a strawweight bout (up to 52,1 kg). The British fighter, trained by veteran Brad Pickett, achieved her second consecutive victory in the world's largest MMA organization, both by knockout, and established herself as the future of the company.
Bigger and stronger, Shanelle imposed herself physically from the start of the fight. She dominated the center of the octagon and landed powerful blows on her opponent, mainly with straight punches and high kicks. With over 100 fights of experience in striking, she managed to repel and hurt her rival repeatedly. By the end of the second round, Dyer had already landed over 80 strikes, in addition to opening a cut above Reed's right eyebrow.
In the final round, she went on the offensive looking for the stoppage, and by connecting long sequences of blows on a Reed cornered against the cage, she forced the referee to stop the fight when the clock showed one minute and 42 seconds.
