Gregory Robocop achieved an important victory in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) of UFC Sacramento by defeating Anthony Hernandez in a true five-round war in the main event, last Saturday (22). At 34 years old, the Brazilian reached the 20th victory of his career, with 11 wins by knockout and four by submission.

Hernandez started by pressuring Robocop and trying to take the fight to the cage. In the clinch, the two exchanged blows, while the Brazilian showed strength to defend takedowns and respond with punches and elbows. In the striking exchanges, Robocop began to find his range and landed hard blows, but Hernandez also managed to respond and kept the fight balanced.

In the second round, Robocop increased the intensity and began punishing Hernandez's leg with low kicks. The strike worked and even managed to knock his opponent down on a few occasions. Even so, Hernandez resisted, continued to attack, and secured a takedown at the end of the round.

In the third round, Hernandez managed to take Robocop down and get to his back, but couldn't maintain the position. Standing, the two continued exchanging blows, with the Brazilian defending takedown attempts and using the clinch to attack with elbows.

Robocop returned more aggressively in the fourth round and began landing powerful blows to Hernandez's head and body. The Brazilian increased the pace, punished his opponent's legs, and almost secured a stoppage after a flurry of punches. Hernandez still managed takedowns, but couldn't control the fight on the ground.

In the fifth and final round, Hernandez tried to pressure against the cage again, but Robocop remained dangerous in the striking exchanges. The Brazilian landed punches, knees, and low kicks, while Hernandez responded with elbows and further takedown attempts. In the final moments, Robocop knocked his opponent down with another leg kick and even managed to take his back, ending a true war after 25 minutes.
