Jean Silva received some unpleasant news on August 19th. Scheduled to face Yair Rodriguez in the main event of Noche UFC , an event set to take place on September 12th in Arizona (USA), the Brazilian had to deal with the cancellation of the fight. Because of this, the member of the 'Fighting Nerds' academy gave his opinion on the Mexican's withdrawal from yet another important fight due to injury , and it was surprising.
Since this wasn't the first time he had frustrated fans and let his opponent and the UFC down, Yair fell from grace and was harshly criticized, but Jean adopted a different stance. Despite being vocal and enjoying a good feud, the Brazilian, on his official YouTube channel, didn't show any anger towards 'El Pantera' for canceling the fight and ended the controversy.

And it’s always been like that, right?” he said.
"That being said, I'm super happy. Imagine a guy who's happy, looking at his wife and seeing her happy, watching me do what I like, what I love. You know? My mom watching me train, seeing me focused. Wow, that's crazy. Yeah, I'm in my moment, in my happiness. Don't worry, I expect something huge. What we're doing is incredible. That's it, let's go," he concluded.

Currently, Jean Silva , 29, is ranked sixth in the UFC featherweight division and is seen by many as a threat to the legendary Alexander Volkanovski , the king of the category. In his most recent fight, in January, the Brazilian defeated Arnold Allen by unanimous decision.
For the world's largest MMA organization, the athlete won six fights, five by stoppage (four by knockout and one by submission), and lost one. His main victories were over Arnold Allen , Bryce Mitchell , and Drew Dober.
