Gregory Robocop achieved a great result in the main event of UFC Sacramento, last Saturday (22), by defeating Anthony Hernandez after a true 25-minute battle. With the victory, the Brazilian reached his fourth consecutive win in the UFC middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) and is experiencing one of the best moments of his career.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani's YouTube channel, this Monday (24), Robocop highlighted the difficulty of the confrontation and stated that facing Hernandez for five rounds was an important experience for his evolution within the Ultimate. The athlete sees it as a great step towards his goal: the belt.

“That was a real war. Fluffy Hernandez is a tough guy, and I think that fight was necessary for my career and where I want to go. Five rounds aren't for just anyone, especially against Hernandez. The guy doesn't get tired. From the first to the last takedown attempt, his strength and energy remained the same. I was getting tired, but he stayed the same,” said Gregory Robocop.
“I was surprised. I thought, ‘Man, this guy is crazy.’ I knew I needed to stay calm and conserve energy because I’ve seen guys hurt him badly, and he comes back and destroys everyone. Fighting five rounds with a guy like him was an honor. It was a tough fight, and I’m happy to have had that experience,” the middleweight concluded.
The result also solidified the Brazilian's positive streak, bringing Robocop ever closer to a prominent position among middleweights. The fighter took the opportunity to challenge a former champion in the category.
