Kevin Vallejos believes he can overtake Jean Silva in the race for the UFC belt. Scheduled for the main event of Noche UFC , the Brazilian was certain that a victory over Yair Rodriguez would put him in a privileged position in the featherweight title fight (up to 65,7 kg). However, the Mexican withdrew from the fight and was replaced by José Miguel Delgado, a change that could directly benefit his Argentinian rival.
In a post on 'X', Vallejos reacted to Jean Silva 's video complaining about Rodriguez's withdrawal and made it clear that he believes he has the conditions to fight for the belt before the Brazilian. The Argentinian stated that he and his team managed to secure the opportunity to fight for the title first.

Kevin Vallejos has a fight scheduled against a Top 5 rival.
Although his return has not yet been officially confirmed, Kevin Vallejos is confident that he will have a great challenge ahead. Currently ranked tenth in the featherweight division, the Argentinian revealed in an interview with Full Send that he already has a fight lined up against a Top 5 athlete in the category sometime in 2026.
Among the top five, Movsar Evloev , number one, is lined up to face Alexander Volkanovski . Diego Lopes , second-ranked, has signaled a move to the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), while Arnold Allen , fifth, is expected to face Aaron Pico. This leaves only the third and fourth-ranked fighters as possible opponents for Vallejos: Lerone Murphy and Aljamain Sterling.
