Brazil will continue to be very well represented next Saturday (29). With Denise Gomes in action in the co-main event, UFC Shanghai will feature four other Brazilians in important fights that could directly impact their positions in the organization and bring them closer to the rankings of their respective categories.

Denise Gomes enters the octagon with the opportunity to achieve the most important victory of her UFC career. The Brazilian will face Yan Xionan and seeks to move closer to the top of the strawweight division (up to 52,2 kg) against an opponent who is more experienced and eyeing a prominent position in the category.

At 26 years old, the Brazilian has a record of 12 wins and three losses, with seven victories by knockout. The Chinese fighter, on the other hand, has 19 wins and five losses in her career and is looking to get back to winning ways after a defeat to Virna Jandiroba.

In the first fight of the main card, Levi Rodrigues seeks to recover in the UFC and turn things around in the organization. The Brazilian faces Chinese fighter Ce Liu on August 29th, in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), at UFC Shanghai . The duel will be the fighter's second commitment in the octagon.

At 29 years old, Levi has a record of five wins and one loss, all by knockout. The athlete debuted in the UFC in July, when he was defeated by Felipe Franco via technical knockout in the second round.

In the preliminary card, André Mascote seeks to bounce back in the UFC after suffering the first defeat of his career. The Brazilian will fight in the flyweight category (up to 56,7 kg) against Namsrai Batbayar on August 29th.

At 27 years old, Mascote has a record of 11 wins and one loss. The Brazilian lost his undefeated streak in June when he was defeated by Kevin Borjas by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 119.

Hector Santiago will make his UFC debut against Lawrence Lui on August 29th in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg). At 33 years old, the Brazilian has a record of six wins and one loss, with five victories by knockout.

Before joining the world's largest MMA organization, Santiago drew attention by competing in Money Moicano MMA, an event created by Renato Moicano to discover new talents in the national scene. In May, the Brazilian defeated Paulo Nogueira by knockout in the first round at the promotion's inaugural event.

Julia Polastri will face a new challenge in the UFC.

Julia Polastri will face a new challenge in the UFC and seeks to recover from the defeat suffered in her last appearance. The fighter will face Xiong Jingnan on August 29th, in a strawweight (up to 52,2 kg) bout, on the UFC card in China.

Polastri has a record of 14 wins and six losses and is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Talita Alencar in April of this year. Before that defeat, the Brazilian had knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the third round in October 2025. A striking specialist, 'Psycho' has five knockout wins and three submission wins in her career.
