It's no secret that Dana White's favorite project is the Contender Series program, which is in its tenth season. Always excited for the traditional Tuesday nights, the UFC president is delighted with one of his newest signings. So much so that the executive praised a fighter who, in fact, shone in the third episode of the show , held on the 25th, in Las Vegas (USA).
In the post-Contender Series press conference, when asked which signing he liked the most so far, Dana didn't hesitate to mention Ronald Humphrey. And the executive's choice is justified. Last Tuesday (25), the American made short work of Alexis Miranda, hurting him in the striking exchanges and, when the fight went to the ground, finished him via rear-naked choke in the first round.

It's worth noting that, with the conclusion of the third episode, 15 fights were held and 16 athletes earned a contract. But, despite the large number of reinforcements for the UFC, in Dana's view, Humphrey, even with only five MMA fights, is the most prepared to be tested in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg).
“It’s impossible not to look at Ronald. This guy is an absolute animal. I’m very excited to see him fight in the UFC. I told Sean Shelby, ‘This guy is too well-rounded for four fights.’ For four fights, he’s very balanced. Sean Shelby was saying they couldn’t get this guy to fight because nobody wanted to face him,” said the executive.
“I said I think he’ll have that problem now too. Wherever the fight went, this guy did well. Obviously, Miranda is a tough guy and he didn’t come here just to collect the paycheck. He came to win, he’s tough. I think his opponent made him look even better,” he concluded.
