If anyone still doubts that Charles do Bronx broke through the MMA bubble, last Saturday (29) showed that his popularity and reputation went beyond that. The former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) was simply honored at the tenth anniversary of Batalha da Aldeia, the largest organization of rap battles that aims to strengthen hip-hop culture, in São Paulo. The surprise was made by the trio of MCs composed of Kant, Tavin and Tubarão.

When called to the octagon before the fight, the trio, one of the strongest in the competition, used one of Charles 's memorable phrases as a kind of motivation, energizing the crowd at Vale do Anhangabaú. And the performance worked, as Kant, Tavin, and Tubarão advanced from the first round. However, the group then lost to the event's finalist trio, composed of Barreto, Big Mike, and Cesar MC.
" I don't want to know the name, where it's from, or who it's going to be . Once you're in here, it's going to be bad weather all the time! "

Charles' moment in the UFC
Charles Oliveira , 36, is riding a two-fight winning streak after defeating Mateusz Gamrot and Max Holloway . Thanks to this winning streak, the Brazilian, a former lightweight champion, is close to a title shot again. Currently, the legendary fighter is ranked third in the division.
