Khamzat Chimaev , it seems, has missed the boat on the middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg). After being defeated by Sean Strickland at UFC 328 , the Chechen fighter requested an immediate rematch against the American. However, rumors suggest that the next challenger for the title will be Nassourdine Imavov , a scenario that, apparently, was already expected by Chimaev himself.
In an interview with Ushatayka, Chimaev showed no surprise at the possibility of Imavov receiving the next title shot. The fighter highlighted that the Frenchman has been waiting for a chance for some time and stated that the winner of the fight will be his next target.
