Glover Teixeira is excited about this new phase of his career. After hanging up his gloves in the UFC, the veteran returned to action in a boxing match at Spaten Fight Night 3, where he defeated Mauricio Shogun . The result seems to have rekindled the former champion's desire to continue competing, and now he has given the green light for a possible confrontation against Junior Cigano in the ring.
During an appearance on the Overdogs Podcast, Glover revealed that the experience against Shogun rekindled his desire to fight. Satisfied with his performance and victory, the veteran stated that he left the fight without any physical problems and expressed his willingness to return to the ring.
“It rekindled my desire (to keep fighting), but anyway, I fought well, I had a good performance. In short, we won, I don't have any marks and I'm super happy and I want to fight again,” said Glover Teixeira.

Although he is already considering a new fight, Glover has not yet decided who he would like to face. The former champion mentioned Vitor Belfort and Alexander Gustafsson as names that have been mentioned in possible matchups and also expressed respect for the possibility of facing Junior Cigano.
“Now, who, I don’t know. They’re talking about Vitor Belfort , they’ve even mentioned Gustafsson… ( Junior Cigano ) is another one too, a great warrior in the fight, another guy who’s going to be ‘Bushido’ as Lyoto says, total respect. But let’s see the next editions,” concluded the former UFC champion.
