Michael Page defeated Nursulton Ruziboev by unanimous decision last Saturday (5), at UFC Paris , but left the octagon with the feeling that he could have shown more. Surrounded by expectations since his arrival at the organization, the Briton, touted as the 'New Anderson Silva ', has not yet managed to fully live up to the label within the organization.
After another victory without achieving a standout moment, the 'MVP' acknowledged that he needs to make changes to his fighting style. In an interview with the UFC, the Englishman admitted that he must take more risks and look for ways to make his fights more aggressive.

“The results show that I haven’t done enough. I need to push myself a little harder, take more risks. I know I can do more. There isn’t a single person in the world who can keep up with me. But there are many people who can survive with me. That’s what I need to change. My performance needs to change. Maybe I need to adjust my style a little, adapt it so that people feel more comfortable facing me. I need to go back to the drawing board. I need to sit down with the UFC and have a frank conversation. I know I can do better, and I aspire to do better,” said Michael Page.
With his victory over Ruziboev, Page reached six fights in the UFC, with five wins and one loss to Ian Garry in June 2024. Despite the positive result, the Briton made it clear that he intends to return to training, determined to adjust his game and deliver more impactful performances in his next fights.
