One of the most exciting MMA fighters today, Jean Silva returns to action this Saturday (12), in Arizona (USA). At Noche UFC , the Brazilian faces Jose Delgado in the main fight, which promises to be exciting and, at the same time, worrying. All because the member of the 'Fighting Nerds' academy accepted an ungrateful position in his quest to reach the top of the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg).

Star of Noche UFC, Jean Silva surprises by assembling the perfect fighter from Fighting Nerds.

Originally, Jean was scheduled to face Yair Rodriguez , a former title challenger, and, in case of victory, as a reward, a title fight against the winner of the bout between Alexanxer Volkanovski, the reigning champion of the division, and Movsar Evloev was almost certain. However, due to an injury, the Mexican fighter was replaced by Delgado, a professional unknown to the general public but hungry for the spotlight, to solidify his place in the top 15, and for the biggest victory of his career. Therefore, with the change in the fight's profile, the Brazilian has little to gain and everything to lose.

If he confirms his status as favorite against the American, Jean, ranked sixth in the featherweight division, will be even closer to challenging the champion. However, it's impossible to say for sure that the Brazilian will be the number one contender in the category, especially since there are fights involving top fighters that are important for the division happening in the coming months. In any case, since the athlete agreed to remain in the event and took on the responsibility of facing an 'unknown' opponent to stay active and not lose positions in the rankings, the pressure is there.

Aware of the risk the new fight represents, Jean preaches respect for his opponent and acknowledges his quality. However, anyone who thinks the Brazilian will change his approach, becoming less aggressive, is mistaken. On the contrary, the athlete, always confident in his abilities and aware of his progress in training, promises to put on a show in action. And the 'Lord's' intention is valid, because, in this scenario, the best way to achieve his long-awaited featherweight title fight is not just with a victory, but with a convincing win, especially by a quick finish.
