Eddie Alvarez commented on Ilia Topuria 's return . The Georgian fighter is looking to recover from the first loss of his career, suffered against Justin Gaethje at UFC Casa Branca in June of this year. The former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) is now awaiting the definition of his next steps within the organization.
In an interview with the American website 'MMA Junkie', available last Wednesday (9), Alvarez assessed the scenario involving Topuria's return and pointed out a situation that could be decisive for the Georgian's future in the Ultimate. The double champion returned to social media last week, after a long period away following the defeat.

For the former fighter, the situation casts doubt on the possibility of a rematch between the two athletes. Topuria suffered the first defeat of his career against Gaethje and now needs to decide what his next fight in the UFC will be.
