The athlete also received three bonus awards in the UFC, two for Performance of the Night and one for Fight of the Night. “LMC was created with the goal of bringing big names in MMA back to the center of Brazilian sports, and having Alex 'Cowboy' in our main event represents exactly that. He's an athlete with a huge history in the UFC and brings a lot of experience to our cage. At the same time, facing an Argentinian reinforces this international characteristic that we want to build at LMC. We are preparing an even bigger third edition with many new features for the public,” says Jamil Achlei, founder and president of Liga Monstro Combate.

The first women's Crown Fight in history and a women's title fight.

In addition to the international duel that headlines the card, the third edition of LMC will feature two unprecedented events in the organization's history. For the first time, Crown Fight, an original modality created by Liga Monstro Combate itself, will be contested by women. The names will be confirmed soon by the organization.

This edition will also feature the first women's title fight in LMC history. One of the names involved in this historic moment is Thay Avatar, who returns to the organization after participating in LMC 1 in Curitiba, where she defeated Erika Alcântara. Now, the athlete returns to the cage in search of the League's women's title.

In boxing, LMC 3 will also feature athletes who have previously competed in the organization. Claudio Andrade returns to the event to face Cauê Aquino in a catchweight bout (up to 85 kg). Beatriz Pereira, who defeated Nath Macedo in LMC 1, will face Keila Emanuele in a catchweight bout (up to 57 kg).

LMC 3 takes place on Friday, September 25th, at the RedeTV! studios in São Paulo, continuing the League's project of holding its events on the channel and expanding the presence of combat sports on free-to-air television.
