Curtis Blaydes recovered at Noche UFC , but did not please the audience present at the Desert Diamond Arena. At the event held this Saturday (12), in Arizona (USA), the American defeated Waldo Cortes-Acosta by unanimous decision. However, the encounter itself did not live up to what is expected of a good heavyweight fight (up to 120,2 kg).
Despite being knockout artists, the fighters respected each other and fought cautiously. Nevertheless, Blaydes bounced back after losing the battle against Josh Hokit.

In the opening fight of the main card, David Martinez lived up to expectations and continued his great run in the UFC. The Mexican controlled veteran Dan Ige with ease and won by unanimous decision.
Thus, the 28-year-old athlete, undefeated in the company, secured his fourth consecutive victory. Currently, 'Doctor' is ranked seventh in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg) and now aims for greater challenges.
On the other hand, Ige lost for the third time in a row and has only won one of his last six fights. Because of this negative record, the American is at serious risk of being cut by the UFC.
