Aljamain Sterling really wants to disrupt Jean Silva 's plans . After finishing José Miguel Delgado at Noche UFC , held last Saturday (12), the Brazilian made it clear that he intends to fight for the featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg) in his next fight. The former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), however, suggested a fight between the two to define who will be the next challenger for Alexander Volkanovski 's title.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Sterling expressed his willingness to face Jean in December. The American stated that he intends to give the Brazilian enough time to recover and arrive at the fight in his best condition, and also believes that a duel between the two could clearly define the next name in the featherweight title fight. The former champion also highlighted that he would like to make the fight happen.

Jean Silva could challenge for the UFC belt.

With his victory over José Delgado, Jean Silva strengthened his position in the race for the featherweight title (up to 65,7 kg). The Brazilian could become the next challenger for the title, since Movsar Evloev , his main competitor for the opportunity, is scheduled to face Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 333.

Given the current state of the division, the trend suggests that Jean Silva will be next in line for the title.
