In 2024, Tony Ferguson had his last fight in the UFC and left with a streak of eight losses. However, the American underwent a complete transformation and rediscovered himself by migrating from MMA to boxing. So much so that, this Saturday (26), in Miami (USA), the 42-year-old veteran shone in the ring by knocking out Mahmood Sebie in the second round.

With the victory, Ferguson defended his Misfits Boxing middleweight title. Furthermore, 'El Cucuy' remains undefeated in boxing, with three wins.

Originally, Ferguson was scheduled to face Kenzo Biyong, but since Biyong was unable to compete, he was replaced by the former Olympic wrestler. Therefore, the former interim UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) took advantage of the change, dominated the first round, and nearly knocked out Sebie.

It's true that the athlete recovered and almost pulled off a surprise in the second round, giving the veteran a scare. However, Ferguson withstood the pressure, regrouped, cornered Sebie against the ropes, and landed a good sequence of punches. Therefore, the referee stopped the fight, declaring 'El Cucuy' the winner by technical knockout.
