Revealed on the Contender Series on September 15th, Luis Hernandez promised to put on a show in his debut and he didn't disappoint. At UFC Vegas 121, an event held last Saturday (26), the Florida (USA) police officer made Sedriques Dumas , an ex-convict, look like nothing and finished him in 57 seconds. Because of the result, many fans started making memes and mocking the bad boy. Aware of the repercussion of his victory, 'The Stache' spoke out.

Excited by his great performance and winning his debut, Hernandez surprised everyone by defending Dumas, who has been arrested 14 times. Despite being charismatic and outgoing, the police officer ignored the jokes and made a point of sending a strong message to his rival, with the clear intention of inspiring him to be a better man. It's worth noting that the bad boy has one of the most extensive criminal records in UFC history, being accused of crimes such as robbery, home invasion, physical assault, possession of weapons and substances, and resisting arrest.
“I just want to say one thing. All this online hate directed at my opponent, this guy has a family. Whatever he’s done in the past, I hope he changes his ways. Let’s treat him with respect,” the police officer said in the post-fight interview, still in the octagon.
Now, Hernandez, who competed in the Contender Series at middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) in the UFC, aims to compete at welterweight (up to 77,1 kg). With the show he put on at the event, the American extended his undefeated streak in MMA to nine wins, all by stoppage (six by submission and three by knockout).
